Po dwóch latach pracy nad projektem powstala rzecz niepowtarzalna – pierwsza plyta Pata Methenego z wokalistka z Polski. Kilkunastogodzinne sesje przyniosly nagrania na najwyzszym poziomie znanym z plyt Pata i Ani. Na plycie znajduje sie miedzy innymi kompozycja Andrzeja Kurylewicza "Polskie drogi", koleda "Lulajze Jezuniu", która Pat sharmonizowal oraz piosenki Anny Marii Jopek i M. Kydrynskiego.

Solo Pata do "Upojenia" A.M. Jopek, jednego z najwiekszych przebojów bedzie z pewnoscia historycznym nagraniem w dorobku tego tytana gitary. Do wspólnego nagrania utworu Pat zaprosil "etatowego" gitarzyste Ani Marka Napiórskiego. Mistrz pracuje na swojej slynnej 42 strunowej gitarze "picasso".

The 2002 album Upojenie, now being released domestically for the first time, may be Pat Metheny's most unique and, for many listeners, least well-known project. The guitarist collaborates with popular Polish singer and keyboardist Anna Maria Jopek backed by a group of Polish musicians.

Upojenie (rapture) is a 2002 collaboration between Polish folk and jazz singer Anna Maria Jopek and jazz guitarist Pat Metheny, recorded in Warsaw, Poland. It features Jopek's compositions and traditional folk song arrangements, as well as some of Metheny's well known tracks, such as Follow Me from Imaginary Day. Finally, there is Polish Paths - a cover of a main theme for movie series of the same title by Andrzej Kurylewicz.

Anna Maria Jopek was born on 14 December 1970 in Warsaw, is a Polish musician and singer. She represented her country in the 1997 Eurovision Song Contest, with the song "Ale jestem" and finished 11th out of 25 participating acts; and in 2002, she collaborated on an album with jazz guitarist Pat Metheny. She is the recipient of numerous awards for her music, including Michel Legrand's Personal Award in Vitebsk in 1994, as well as all of the awards for music in Poland, together with gold and platinum records. However, she has said: "Music itself is the highest award for me. And the greatest challenge. With so many questions remaining to be answered". She's married to music journalist, photographer and guitarist Marcin Kydryński, and has two sons, Franciszek (b. 1998) and Stanisław (b. 2000).

Anna Maria Jopek is the daughter of Mazowsze singer Stanisław Jopek (1935–2006), who is known as the "First Coachman of Poland" for his signature song "Furman" (The Coachman), and former Mazowsze dancer Maria Stankiewicz. Her 1999 Christmas album Dzisiaj z Betleyem features two duets with her father. Anna Maria's sister, Patrycja is a violinist.
